My Community is my Family Too

There is nothing better than being a little kid at Christmas time. You write to Santa begging for that Barbie dream house, or Xbox system while also trying to memorize the verses of “Away in a Manger” for the church pageant. There are snowmen to build, and gingerbread houses to decorate. Everything is perfect, and you get that special Christmas feeling in your stomach.

Cultivating a Culture of Generosity

Holidays put our focus on giving. During Easter we give chocolate and make fancy dinners for family and friends. On Thanksgiving we visit soup kitchens and in December shower our loved ones with gifts on Christmas morning. We make year-end donations to food banks, or give an extra boost to charities. Everyone feels good about his or her generosity and good deeds.
